Role Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to the highest industry standards, ensuring exceptional vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. A passion for the outdoors and off-roading is a bonus!

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties

• Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately in line with company and manufacturer standards.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) for new vehicles, ensuring compliance with OEM requirements.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, recommending solutions to Service Advisors.
• Identify additional service needs during vehicle inspections and communicate them promptly.
• Keep detailed, accurate records of work performed.
• Conduct road tests as needed to verify repairs.
• Stay updated with training on the latest technical advancements and share knowledge with team members.
• Provide mentorship and support for Apprentice Technicians.
• Carry out routine tasks such as lubrication, fluid inspections, and filter replacements.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with safety regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.

Logistical Duties

• Ensure the shop and work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
• Safeguard and account for company tools and equipment.
• Adhere to regulations governing automotive repair and consumer protection.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 3 years working with European vehicle brands.
• Efficiency: Complete repairs and tasks accurately and within specified timelines.
• Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure all documentation and DMS entries are precise and accurate.
• Adaptability: Handle evolving tasks, new technologies, and occasional urgent requests with ease.
• Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing training and skill development.
• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Work Environment

• Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting moderate weights.
• Conditions: Exposure to shop noise, with occasional after-hours or outdoor work.
• Stress Management: Handle deadlines, emergency situations, and occasional interactions with upset customers.
• Safety: Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety standards.

• Deliver high-quality work with no repeat repairs ("comebacks").
• Complete tasks on schedule with a focus on customer satisfaction.
