Early Childhood Educator

The Stewart Valley Early Learning Centre is a well-respected childcare centre located 32 km north of Swift Current, SK. Dedicated to providing quality child care, interactive learning and memorable experiences; we are looking for a highly motivated early childhood educator or a person willing to obtain an Early Learning Certificate, to be part of a great team, caring for children from 6 weeks old to school age.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a curriculum founded on the centre's philosophies whilst following childcare regulations
- Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
- Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior
- Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
- Observe and record children's growth, development and behavior
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment
- Help develop teaching goals for the centre as a whole

You will need:
- An approved Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma or be willing to obtain
- Some experience working in a childcare setting with a willingness to further Early Childhood Education training requirements to meet certification, where applicable
- Fantastic organizational and teamwork skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Current and/or willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certificate
- A criminal record and vulnerable sector search
