KIRAH Executive Search is seeking an experienced Director for Labour Relations at the Vancouver School Board. In this senior position within the Employee Services Division, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice. You are expected to blend technical expertise with executive judgement, political awareness, and leadership presence to navigate a highly unionized, public-sector atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities: - Establish strategic direction for labour relations - Lead collective bargaining negotiations and strategies - Support workforce investigations and grievance processes - Maintain professional relationships with union partners - Provide expert advice to executive leadership
Requirements: - Seven to ten years of labour relations experience - Strong expertise in collective agreement administration - Experience with mediation and arbitration processes - A degree in Human Resources or related field - Proven leadership and conflict-resolution skills
