Operations Support

Job Responsibility:

The Operations Support is responsible for supporting daily operational processes by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of shipping documentation. This includes overseeing the flow of bill of lading data entry, trailer closures, driver paperwork review, and assisting with nighttime closing procedures. The role contributes to smooth logistics operations by collaborating closely with drivers, customer service, and billing teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Process and verify incoming driver paperwork as city drivers return.

· Enter Dangerous Goods (DG) information for visibility on tablets.

· Create skeleton bills and ensure preliminary data accuracy.

· Enter weight and measurement (W&M) data from cuber sheets and W&M screens.

· Support the billing team as required.

· Close trailers and ensure proper documentation is completed nightly.

· Assist with generating nightly reports (FMM/GP).

· Answer pickup-related calls and address driver inquiries.

· Communicate with "hold for pickup" customers as needed.

· Scan and attach images of bills of lading (BOLs) in AS400.

· Ensure accuracy and completeness of all BOLs and shipping records.

· Enter Proof of Delivery (POD) information when required.

· Monitor and support workflow of other billers.

· Perform general office duties, including phone answering, filing, and shredding.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Previous billing experience is considered an asset.

· Prior experience in team coordination or leadership is an asset.

· Strong ability to interpret and follow procedure manuals and reports.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

· Experience with AS400 Billing Software is considered an asset.

· High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business administration, logistics, or a related field is an asset.

Working Conditions

• Manual dexterity required.

• Lifting up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.24-$25.11 per hour
