Caretaker, Building Real Homes Management Corporation Location Victoria, BC Salary 24.00 hourly / 37.5 hours per week Full time Early morning, Evening, Flexible hours, Overtime available Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Health benefits, Financial benefits, Other benefits Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: Experience an asset Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting Apartment/condominium complex Commercial building Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse Empty trash cans and other waste containers Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment Perform minor repairs on appliances Perform safety and security checks Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures Work with minimal supervision Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Experience and specialization Area of work experience Cleaning Equipment Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers Carpet cleaning machine Polishing machines Power lawn mowers Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Work under pressure Repetitive Handling heavy loads Bending, crouching, kneeling Personal suitability Dependability Flexibility Initiative Judgement Organized Reliability Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Vision care benefits Financial benefits Group insurance benefits Life insurance Other benefits On-site daycare available On-site housing options Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Team building opportunities Parking available Until: 2026-01-24
