Director Disability Policy Innovation

Lead disability policy and innovation in Edmonton with the Alberta Public Service, guiding complex programs, legislation, and strategic advice.As Director, Program Policy and Innovation, you will lead professional teams within Assisted Living and Social Services. The portfolio includes policy planning, legislative development, complex projects, intergovernmental engagement, and advisory-body support. Your work supports the FSCD and PDD programs.Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic advice on politically sensitive disability-program issuesLead policy, legislation, regulations, implementation, and evaluationPrepare cabinet, Treasury Board, and executive decision materialsDirect cross-ministry and intergovernmental disability initiativesOversee advisory committee secretariat support and engagementRequirements:
University degree in a related fieldMinimum seven years of progressively responsible related experienceExperience developing legislation, regulations, and policy instrumentsAbility to lead complex stakeholder and government initiativesAdvanced writing, briefing, facilitation, and presentation skillsApply strategic leadership, disability-policy expertise, and legislative experience to advance complex provincial programs in Edmonton.
