We are seeking part-time care for our two children (18 months and 4 years) starting in June. Care will be needed for both children throughout the summer, transitioning to just the younger one beginning in September. We’re looking for half-days, 3–5 days per week, with flexible scheduling in terms of days and hours. We are looking for someone who can nurture play, learning, and secure attachment. We practice responsive parenting, emphasizing teaching and natural consequences rather than punishment or unrelated consequences. Our approach is developmentally informed, meeting children where they are in their growth. We would like a nanny to do the same. My husband and I are both graphic designers and work from home. We’re available during the day if issues arise, or to assist with naps. Light house care would be helpful during nap time (emptying dishwasher or folding laundry).
