The ideal candidate is safety-focused, skilled in utility line clearance, and experienced working in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

What you will do:

• Perform utility line clearance pruning and removal in accordance with provincial regulations and industry best practices.
• Work safely around energized electrical conductors while maintaining required clearances.
• Identify tree hazards and assess risks related to utility infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, bucket trucks, and climbing gear.
• Follow all safety procedures, job briefings, and emergency protocols.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and utility representatives.
• Complete required documentation and daily work reports.
• Maintain clean and organized work sites.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with the public.

Requirements

• Valid 444B Utility Arborist Certification required.

• Previous hands-on experience in utility vegetation management, electrical line clearance, hydro corridors, or tree work around energized electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical hazards, minimum approach distances, utility safety procedures, job briefings, hazard assessments, and emergency procedures.
• Experience using chainsaws, woodchippers, bucket trucks, climbing gear, rigging equipment, or aerial lifts for arborist work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined or challenging environments.
• Valid driver’s license required; AZ/DZ is an asset.
• Commitment to safety and compliance, including following provincial regulations and industry standards at all times.
