The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth workflow and operational efficiency. This role includes developing and mentoring team members, monitoring sales performance, and co-managing both sales staff and merchandisers. It is a hands‑on position that demands strong attention to detail and a proactive leadership approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all warehouse operations including inventory control, logistics, shipping, space management, and customer service.
- Monitor sales performance and collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing workflow and minimizing overtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, ensuring timely maintenance and operational readiness.
- Establish and monitor operational goals to ensure peak warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Design and implement systems for product handling, storage, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
- Provide delivery support as needed to ensure merchandise is distributed accurately and on time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven ability to lead, train, and recruit staff effectively, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with experience operating a 5‑ton truck and willingness to support delivery operations when required.
- Exceptional time‑management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with a proactive approach to solving operational challenges.
- Solid understanding of supply‑chain and warehouse management principles, including inventory control and distribution logistics.
