Capital Markets Risk Governance Director

Shape operational risk governance for National Bank’s Capital Markets business in Montreal or Toronto, coordinating oversight, reporting, and controls.As an Associate Director, you will manage a practical, tailored approach to operational risk across Capital Markets. Your responsibilities include governance delivery, regulatory coordination, risk indicators, control enhancements, and monitoring. You will work with business leaders and senior stakeholders while reporting to the Director of Business Operational Strategy, Resilience & Risk Management.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely governance, reporting, and oversight deliveryCoordinate action owners and corrective measure closuresManage operational risk event reviews and deep divesLead control walkthroughs and testing for risk assessmentsContribute to assessments for new Capital Markets activitiesRequirements:
At least five to seven years of relevant experienceDegree in a related fieldKnowledge of banking or securities regulationExperience with CIRO and OSFI requirementsAbility to communicate with senior stakeholdersBring governance, stakeholder management, risk assessment, and influencing skills to National Bank’s Capital Markets risk team.
