I am a private individual currently looking for an experienced senior/healthcare caregiver to assist a young disabled female who is under my care. The caregiver role is a Full-Time position requiring extensive support, care, and companionship. The primary responsibilities include providing catheter care and cecostomy care and assisting with bathing and grooming. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake light housekeeping duties as well as meal planning and preparation, particularly for light breakfasts. Other tasks include grocery shopping and accompanying the individual to doctor's appointments. Considering the patient's disability, it is essential for the caregiver to offer assistance with toileting, lifts and transfers, and Range of Motion exercises. Additionally, Hoyer Lift experience is a plus. Applicants must also be comfortable and experienced in dealing with individuals with Diabetes, Incontinence (diapers), Quad/ Paraplegic Care, and Hearing Impairment. The work schedule is full-time, with weekly hours ranging from 40 to 50. The first week of work will typically consist of mornings from Monday through Thursday and then again on Saturday and Sunday. The following week is Wednesday through Friday mornings. The preferred start date is immediately. Though a driver's license is not required, the caregiver will need to use their own car for tasks such as doctor's appointments and grocery shopping. This position is offered as a live-out role.
