Klondike Earth Solutions is hiring experienced chainsaw operators in good physical shape for FireSmart and vegetation-management work.
The work
• Fall, limb, and buck trees
• Thin stands and reduce fuel loads to FireSmart standards
• Cut, pile, and pack brush
• Work as part of a field crew on community and remote sites
Work locations can include Whitehorse-area sites plus communities such as Haines Junction, Carmacks, Pelly Crossing, Faro, Teslin, Takhini/Fox Lake, and Dawson City. Some work is camp-based. Days are typically 10–12 hours.
What we need
• Proven professional chainsaw experience (falling, limbing, bucking)
• Strong physical condition — able to work all day on uneven ground with saw, fuel, and brush
• Safety-first attitude and willingness to follow site rules, tailgates, and JHAs
• Reliable, on time, and able to work as part of a crew
Assets
• Chainsaw safety / falling certification
• Standard First Aid
• Valid driver’s licence
• Previous FireSmart, utility brushing, or camp-based northern work
• Ability to start promptly
