Job Description

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Catering and Events Helper to join our dynamic team. This position is a Part Time and Casual Role.

Job Duties

• Set up tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and serving stations before events.
• Assist with food and beverage preparation
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Refill food trays, drinks, and condiments throughout the event.
• Clear tables and collect used dishes, glassware, and utensils.
• Help load, unload, and transport catering equipment and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event and catering storage areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Assist with event teardown and return equipment to storage.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth event operations.
• Monitor inventory of serving supplies and report shortages.
• Lift and carry catering equipment, tables, chairs, and food containers safely.
• Support supervisors with general event logistics and last-minute tasks.

Qualifications

You are an experienced server who enjoys working in a team environment ensuring high quality service and customer satisfaction. You will be expected to provide prompt, friendly and professional service. You will be asked to remove dirty dishes, linens, glassware and flatware from tables and counters and transport items to the designated area.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment as needed in accordance with established guidelines and safety regulations. You will be required to maintain the level of operating supplies (china, dishes, glassware, utensils), condiments, and paper supplies for each serving station, obtaining replacement stock from the stock room according to established guidelines. You will also be asked to reset tables with silverware, tablecloths, napkins and glassware in accordance with established dining room table rules.
