Remote Truck Driver

The role of a Truck Driver at A & K Enns Trucking Ltd. is a crucial one that requires substantial dedication, responsibility, and understanding. Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe delivery of goods to various locations, including customer warehouses, ports, and intermodal terminals.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure its proper and safe condition.
• Keep logs of their activities as well as the vehicle statuses, including mileage, applications of brakes, and rest periods to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, other drivers, and customers to share information about routes, schedules, delays, and cargo.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, considering traffic and weather conditions.
• Provide regular updates to the dispatch team and maintain professional communication with customers.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A DL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a department of transport health check, drug test, and criminal background check.
• Exceptional driving skills and knowledge of road safety.
• Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo safely, if required.
• Good time management skills with the ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• knowledge of truck maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
