We are currently seeking a skilled Mill Instrumentation Technician to support safe and reliable mill operations at a well-established, long-life open-pit mining site in central British Columbia. This operation offers a strong safety culture, modern processing facilities, and a highly collaborative team environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, the Mill Instrumentation Mechanic is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems throughout the processing plant. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic milling environment supporting crushers, grinding circuits, flotation systems, tailings operations, and associated plant infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation and control systems
• Calibrate transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, pressure instruments, and analyzers
• Maintain and repair PLC-based control systems and related components
• Interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and technical documentation
• Support plant optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with electricians, millwrights, operators, and engineering teams
• Uphold safety standards and adhere to all site procedures

Qualifications

• Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial processing environments is preferred
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and process control systems
• Proven troubleshooting ability in fast-paced operational settings
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Valid driver’s license
