Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Leader to manage large‑scale, complex, high‑profile, and high‑risk enterprise IT initiatives. This role ensures that project deliverables meet business requirements within scope, schedule, and budget, while adhering to established project management methodologies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex enterprise IT projects from initiation through close‑out.
- Ensure project deliverables align with business requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated plans.
- Monitor project costs, provide forecasts, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Direct cross‑functional project teams and ensure compliance with established governance standards.
- Coordinate and monitor project processes and develop guidelines and procedures.
- Build, onboard, and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including consultants.
- Resolve resource constraints, interpersonal conflicts, and manage change requests.
- Develop and manage complex project budgets across multiple funding channels.
- Identify risks and issues proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project risks and issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Facilitate stakeholder forums and steering committees.
- Provide regular project, program, or portfolio reporting to senior executives.
- Drive adoption of change management strategies across all project phases.
- Promote adherence to IT standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
Qualifications
General Skills
- Experience in organizational development, strategic planning, and business case development.
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and complex dependencies.
Required Skills & Experience
Project Management (35%)
- 10+ years of enterprise project management experience across business and IT teams.
- Proven experience managing multi‑year, multi‑million‑dollar projects (must‑have).
- Strong experience managing stakeholders, risks, scope, timelines, and resources.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Visio, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word (must‑have).
- Experience managing full project lifecycles using tools like Jira, Trello, Kanban, etc.
- Ability to validate financial forecasts and manage project expenditures.
- Experience defining business and technical requirements and aligning them with goals.
- Ability to collaborate across policy, legal, IT, and communications teams.
Technical, Deployment & Integration Skills (35%)
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum and other software development methodologies (must‑have).
- Experience with enterprise IT deployments and large‑scale technology rollouts.
- Experience managing procurement processes for large infrastructure initiatives.
- Experience delivering end‑to‑end business and IT solutions.
- Experience leading QA processes and ensuring delivery quality.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouse) (must‑have).
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, and large language model technologies (must‑have).
Documentation Skills (20%)
- Experience creating business cases, privacy impact assessments, technical documentation, and reports (must‑have).
Public Sector Experience (10%)
- Experience with public sector ITIL processes (incident, release, problem management).
- Familiarity with public sector governance frameworks and project methodologies (must‑have).
- Understanding of government IT infrastructure procurement and implementation standards.
Must‑Have Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Data & AI strategy and execution in large, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Experience with Data & AI governance processes and technologies.
- Strong expertise in Azure, Databricks, and AI technologies.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi‑million‑dollar enterprise projects.
