Controls Engineer at Dematic

Elevate your engineering career with Dematic as a Controls Engineer. Contribute to the design of automated systems, ensuring productivity and customer satisfaction in this pivotal role. In this position, you will play a key role in the full lifecycle of controls engineering, leveraging your expertise in hardware and electrical design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting. You will mentor junior engineers and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project outcomes. Expect to travel to customer sites around 25% of the time within Canada as you support our innovative projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Design automated systems integrating hardware and software
- Prepare material specifications and electrical schematics
- Support hardware/electrical design and PLC programming
- Recommend productivity and cost reduction ideas
- Train and mentor junior engineers
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley Logix PLC systems
- Full lifecycle project experience required
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
