Compensation: $250,000 – $295,000 base + bonus + travel support + benefits

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join one of Canada’s premier heavy civilcontractors on a landmark infrastructure project in British Columbia.

We are seeking an experienced Project Director with a proven backgroundleading large-scale heavy civil construction projects, including complexconcrete structures, transportation infrastructure, transit, bridges, marineworks, and major civil infrastructure assignments.

This role is ideal for a senior construction leader who thrives intechnically demanding environments and has successfully managed large projectteams, complex stakeholder relationships, and major infrastructure operationsfrom pre-construction through project completion.

The position is based on a rotational out-of-town schedule of 14 days on/ 7 days off and offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role on one ofthe region’s most significant heavy civil projects.

The Role

As the Project Director, you will provide overall leadership andstrategic direction for a major heavy civil infrastructure project, overseeingall aspects of project execution including operations, commercial performance,scheduling, safety, staffing, client relations, and project delivery.

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams while working closely withexecutive leadership, clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure thesuccessful delivery of the project.

This role requires strong operational leadership, commercial acumen, anddeep experience managing technically complex infrastructure projects withindemanding construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-levelleadership for a major heavy civil infrastructure project
  • Oversee all project operationsincluding construction, commercial management, scheduling, procurement,and staffing
  • Lead Project Managers,Superintendents, engineers, and project support teams
  • Ensure projects are deliveredsafely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractualobligations
  • Drive project strategy, executionplanning, and operational performance
  • Manage client relationships,stakeholder coordination, and executive reporting
  • Oversee risk management, changemanagement, forecasting, and cost control activities
  • Support project staffing,mentorship, and team development initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with senioroperations and executive leadership teams
  • Monitor overall projectproductivity, quality, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with projectspecifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead high-level planning,problem-solving, and decision-making activities throughout the projectlifecycle

Who You Are

  • 15+ years of leadershipexperience within heavy civil or infrastructure construction
  • Proven experience leadinglarge-scale infrastructure projects valued in the hundreds of millions
  • Strong background in:
  • Bridges and transportationprojects
  • Transit infrastructure
  • Marine or major publicinfrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated success managinglarge project teams and complex field operations
  • Strong commercial, contractual,and operational management experience
  • Excellent leadership,communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within highlytechnical and schedule-driven project environments
  • Strong understanding ofconstruction risk management, scheduling, and project controls
  • Engineering, ConstructionManagement, or related technical background is considered an asset
  • Ability to work rotationalschedules and travel for project assignments
