Are you an experienced Mold Maintenance Technician with a strong background in tool repair, preventative maintenance, and manufacturing support?
We’re hiring a licensed Mold Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining, repairing, and supporting production tooling to ensure optimal operational performance and minimal downtime. You will play a key role in supporting production efficiency, mold reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Mold Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Ensure all assigned Mold Repair Orders are logged into the CMMS system and completed in a timely manner
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors to prioritize urgent tool repairs during night shifts and weekends
- Maintain spare parts inventory and required operating supplies for assigned tooling areas
- Maintain accurate tool drawings and repair procedures for all molds and tooling
- Inspect new molds and tools alongside tooling engineers to ensure build quality and compliance with required standards
- Complete preventative maintenance on molds and related production equipment
- Fabricate and maintain fixtures as required
- Maintain and repair End of Arm (EOA) tooling
- Keep detailed and accurate records of tooling changes, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Support troubleshooting and repair efforts to minimize production downtime
- Travel between plant locations and off-site training facilities as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the tooling and maintenance departments
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Mold Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Must be licensed with the Skills Ontario, Mould Maker, Millwright or Electrician
- Previous experience in mold maintenance, tooling repair, or manufacturing maintenance environments
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and tooling repair processes
- Experience working with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and work orders
- Ability to read and interpret tool drawings and technical documentation
- Experience maintaining molds, fixtures, and End of Arm (EOA) tooling
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to support night shifts, weekends, and production priorities as required
- Ability to travel between facilities and training locations
