Position summary:

The Process Engineer works with the Production Managers, Supply Chain Manager, and the Sales Team to identify and exploit opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, yield and safety for the entire factory. This opportunity is a very dynamic position and is best suited for someone seeking career growth opportunities within an organization.

What will you do?

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and designs. Identify potential improvements in the areas of efficiency, quality, manufacturability, yield, safety and cost savings. Manage such project through completion and follow up.

Production Capacity-Efficiency-Productivity

o Work measurement/ flow analysis/ facility layout re-design

o Line balance/bottle neck analysis/ theory of constraint/ Simulation

o Apply lean manufacturing principles

o Cost analysis for capital investment

Product and Process Design / Improvement

• Evaluate current systems & identify areas for improvement
• New product design and implementation

Codes and Compliance

• Ensure product meet the needs of current building codes
• Familiarity of codes application to building industry

Production and Sales Support

• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide direction

What will you need to succeed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
• Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts and application
• Technical aptitude and ability to think logically
• Strong interest and knowledge in process improvement and manufacturing would be considered an asset
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Project management; capable to lead projects through to completion
• Design experience in 2D and 3D CAD systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail for leading several projects simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and prioritize daily, weekly, monthly workload
• Passion for leading change

Kohltech is a dynamic company offering competitive compensation and benefits. Starting salary $65-75K.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
