Wire Cutter - Team Lead

Position: Wire Cutting Teamlead

Location: Brampton, ON

Wage: Starting at $23.00/hr

Shift: Afternoon shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Cable Cutting Team Lead to oversee cable cutting operations on the afternoon shift. This role will supervise a team of three cutters and ensure smooth workflow, productivity, and accuracy within the department.While there is a supervisor present in another area of the building, this position requires someone who can provide dedicated oversight and leadership to the cable team.

This opportunity is with our client, a reputable company specializing in wire and cable distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of 3 wire cutters during the shift
• Prioritize and organize daily cutting orders to meet deadlines
• Pick and stage cable reels using Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklifts
• Ensure materials are ready and available for cutting operations
• Assist with wire cutting when required due to workload or absenteeism
• Maintain workflow efficiency and uphold safety standards
• Contribute to general warehouse operations as needed
• Potential responsibility for closing the building in the future

Requirements:

• Valid certification and experience operating Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklifts
• Proven experience in cable or wire distribution (required)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
