Positions Summary:
As a Millwright I / II, your role is critical to the reputation that we have built for delivering world-class quality manufacturing, and repair & rebuild services to projects based domestically and worldwide. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all machinery, equipment and buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Working on and assembling large machinery and various other equipment
- Troubleshooting difficult repairs and installations to ensure a timely repair or set up of machinery and equipment
- Carrying out machine gear box overhauls
- Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
- Performing standard maintenance on large overhead cranes
- Performing general building and grounds maintenance for entire facility
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a ticketed Millwright
- Experience working on and assembling large machinery and equipment
- Red Seal endorsement is desired , or interest in working toward the red seal endorsement
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot difficult repairs, troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- Knowledge of machine gear boxes and repairs, as well as a variety of machining and fabrication equipment
- Perform standard maintenance on large overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of diesel, engine and propane powered forklifts is essential.
- Electrical experience an asset
- Strong communication skills
Special Requirements:
- This is a physically demanding position requiring a person to lift or move 50 lbs.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderately noisy environment.
- Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current problems.
- Working at heights is required.
- Over time and some weekend work is required.
We offer competitive wages ($41.36-$42.42/hr) and comprehensive benefits. Remuneration and benefits plan as per the collective agreement.
