Flight Controls Systems Engineer

Design autonomous aircraft control laws at Dominion Dynamics using MATLAB/Simulink, from dynamic modeling through real flight testing. This is a full-time engineering role.As Flight Controls Engineer, you will develop Scout’s fly-by-wire control system for standard and dynamic flight regimes. You will translate mission parameters into GNC and software requirements, guide hardware selection, and support the aircraft from clean-sheet design through flight. The work spans simulation, rigs, telemetry, and flight testing.Key Responsibilities:
Design and tune inner- and outer-loop control logicBuild high-fidelity aircraft models in MATLAB/SimulinkDerive GNC requirements from mission parametersLead SIL, HIL, and real-time simulator testingAnalyze telemetry and recalibrate parameters between flightsRequirements:
Flight control law experience on aircraft that flewStrong classical and modern control theory groundingFluency in MATLAB/Simulink for aircraft modelingHands-on SIL/HIL flight control software testingExperience writing GNC requirements within systems engineeringApply flight dynamics, control theory, MATLAB/Simulink, and telemetry analysis to Dominion Scout’s autonomous aircraft.
