Your mission Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Engineer actively participates in the improvement of Essilor Canada's business processes and optimizes the use of production equipment by following up on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. The person is also responsible for facility management of multiple functions related to the operation and maintenance of a building in Ville Saint-Laurent. Your main challenges: Participate in the improvement of business processes in order to maximize performance in terms of productivity, quality and cost reduction to enable the improvement of overall performance; Carry out data collection and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities for improving or reducing maintenance costs; Participate in the continuous improvement of productivity levels, scrap rate reduction, production lead times and annual production costs; Develop and implement a training plan and participate in improving the knowledge of maintenance technicians; Act as a specialist for new equipment installation, continuous improvement and quality mandates: carry out needs analysis, coordinate the implementation of actions and ensure follow-up after implementation; Act as a specialist in troubleshooting and resolving recurring equipment failures; Apply and master the calibration and metrology function to ensure the quality of measurement of monitoring and control devices used on manufacturing processes, and follow up on records; Share and adapt best practices with other Group entities; Ensure that ESSILOR's safety, health and environmental policies are reinforced and become an integral part of the Group's corporate culture. Ensure the management of all facility elements, with the help of external service providers, such as electrical, plumbing, fire protection systems and housekeeping, with a close link to the industrial maintenance team; Maintain site security features through access control, monitoring and tracking systems, in close liaison with the Information Technology team; Coordinate asset maintenance activities and control costs, working closely with the Finance team; Participate in the monitoring and negotiation of contracts, in close liaison with the legal team. Your profile University degree (bachelor's) in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering 3 to 5 years' professional experience as a plant maintenance engineer; Organizational skills and thoroughness; Ability to work in a constantly changing environment; Strong writing and computer skills (AutoCad, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, etc.); Team spirit and leadership; Sense of initiative; Ability to communicate and lead a group; May be required to travel to different shifts; Why work with us?
