Position Overview: As a Taproom Server, you'll be the face of Wild North Brewing, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. You'll guide customers through our beer selection, serve drinks, handle transactions, help maintain a clean and welcoming taproom, and assist with organizing and attending community events. This role is perfect for someone who loves craft beer, thrives in a team environment, and enjoys interacting with the public.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service:

• Greet and engage customers with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Assist customers with beer selections by providing descriptions, recommendations, and samples.
• Anticipate and fulfill customer needs to ensure a positive experience.

Drink Service:

• Serve beer accurately and promptly, following responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Ensure every beverage is presented with care and attention to quality and detail.

Order Processing:

• Take customer orders efficiently and accurately using our POS system.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions.

Taproom Maintenance:

• Keep the taproom clean and organized, including the bar area and restrooms.
• Restock beer supplies, glassware, and other essentials as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth service.

Event Planning & Participation:

• Help plan, execute, and attend taproom events as well as off-site community events.
• Collaborate with the team to promote events, ensuring they run smoothly and are successful.
• Be an active and enthusiastic representative of Wild North Brewing at community events.

Teamwork:

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth taproom operations.
• Support marketing initiatives when required.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or food and beverage service.
• Knowledge of craft beer is a plus, but a willingness to learn and enthusiasm for the industry is essential.
• Must be 19+ with BC “Serve it Right” certification (or willing to obtain).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for providing excellent service.
• Mandatory availability for evenings and weekends , as these are our busiest times.
