Position Overview
The role involves roof-related sheet metal fabrication and installation for commercial or residential roofing projects. Candidates with a Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker certification (or working toward it) are preferred.Key Responsibilities
Measure job sites and fabricate/install roofing sheet metal components.
Operate sheet metal equipment to cut, punch, drill, shape, and straighten metal.
Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
Fabricate custom components such as:
o Scuppers
o Flashings
o Other roofing-related metal products
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Modify or fabricate parts on-site using hand and power tools.
Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment safely. Requirements
Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. .
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Commitment to wearing required safety and protective equipment.
Available for occasional weekend work and travel when required. Skills That Would Help
Sheet metal fabrication experience.
Roofing industry experience.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Experience with metalworking machinery and tools
