Mechanic - Lead

• Monday to Friday – Day shift. Starting ASAP to allow overlap with current Lead Mechanic until retirement in October 2025

What You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed machinery, including pneumatics and hydraulics, to minimize downtime. 
• Perform preventative maintenance and implement machinery modifications. 
• Install new equipment and fabricate parts using welding and grinding tools. 
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and report incidents promptly. 
• Maintain accurate documentation for work orders, parts requisitions, and maintenance logs. 
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure smooth operations. 
• Mentor and support junior maintenance staff. 
• Keep the work area clean and organized, including parts inventory management.
• Express ideas/concepts & instructions as required.
  

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma and valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate (Red Seal). 
• 4 – 5 years of Journeyman Millwright experience in a manufacturing setting. 
• Strong mechanical skills with experience in automation/robotics are an asset. 
• Proficient in English (verbal, written, and comprehension). 
• A commitment to safety and food quality standards. 
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
