Become a Family Navigator with CMHA Kelowna. This full time role offers vital support to families and children dealing with mental health and substance use issues in the Kelowna area. In this position, you’ll work closely with caregivers, offering guidance through assessments and connecting them with valuable resources. Facilitating workshops, you’ll ensure that families acquire the skills necessary for effective caregiving. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, you will advocate for participants while maintaining accurate documentation and fostering an environment of support. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct meetings with families for personalized support
- Identify individual needs through caregiver assessments
- Recommend relevant community resources
- Facilitate engaging workshops and group sessions
- Maintain thorough records of client progress
- Diploma in Community, Social, or Human Services
- Minimum 2 years of experience in family support
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement
- Familiarity with community resources
