We're seeking a Certified Millwright for our Grande Prairie, AB Sawmill , where you can utilize your Red Seal technical expertise, communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities to keep our modern sawmill operating at peak performance. This role is a full-time, permanent position working a rotating weekday schedule consisting of two weeks of days, two weeks of afternoons, and two weeks of nights (graveyard shift), with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

As a Certified Millwright, your responsibilities will include:

• Working with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and pneumatic systems involved in the manufacturing process.
• Keeping our systems running smoothly by performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, which involves inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Effectively managing your time while assessing when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing safe, reliable repairs to improve equipment reliability and maintain production.
• Identifying and requesting appropriate parts to support timely maintenance and repairs.
• Assisting in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, contractors, customers, and site visitors.

For this role, we are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification .
• Have completed secondary school and training courses or a vocational program
• Have completed 3- to 4-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience and industry courses in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment or millwrighting
• Have the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate a high degree of urgency and strong problem-solving skills.
• Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $50.55 per hour
