Our financial services client is seeking a Printer Security & Vulnerability Technician (10+ years) to manage MFP patching and embedded device security. Join a networks and infrastructure team delivering a focused 6‑month engagement enhancing the security posture of enterprise multi‑functional printers.

This position addresses end‑to‑end MFP vulnerability management, including CVE interpretation, patch application, and configuration hardening. The role offers visibility within corporate IT operations, contributing directly to security compliance and risk reduction.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in MFP vulnerability management and embedded device security within enterprise environments
  • Ability to map CVE findings from tools such as Tenable, Nessus, or Qualys to manufacturer security bulletins and apply relevant patches
  • Hands‑on work with firmware and configuration‑based mitigations, including protocol hardening and port restrictions
  • Experience under an ITIL Change Management framework, maintaining compliance with audit and documentation standards
  • Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • Nice to have: Experience with Xerox enterprise printer lines, particularly Alta Link models
  • Familiarity with Xerox Device Manager (XDM) or Xerox Workplace Cloud (XWC)

Responsibilities

  • Interpret enterprise vulnerability scan reports and align CVEs to manufacturer patches
  • Apply firmware updates and configuration mitigations across MFP fleets
  • Assess potential downstream impacts before executing patches
  • Document rollback and configuration‑backup procedures for all change activities
  • Maintain detailed audit records, including serial‑number tracking and before‑and‑after validation
