To qualify for the clearance required you must:

· Be a Canadian citizen

· Have 10 years of verifiable information

· Demonstrate suitability and reliability throughout the assessment process

· Not participate in illegal activities

As part of the clearance process you can expect:

· Review of documentation

· Verification of identity

· Background investigation of past 10 years

· Verification of educational and professional credentials

· a criminal background check through fingerprinting

· a security interview

· a Canadian Security Intelligence Service security assessment

· Any additional assessments deemed necessary to determine your suitability

Job Description :

Job Overview:

We are in search of a reliable Handyman who can proficiently carry out different remodeling and maintenance tasks on our properties. Your remodeling duties will involve tasks such as painting, plaster, windows, and hanging drywall. Maintenance responsibilities include solving basic plumbing and electrical issues, as well as ensuring that the interior and exterior structural components, such as siding and sidewalks, are safe and in good condition. You should possess the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and be proficient in handling hand and power tools. Prior experience as an electrician or carpenter would be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Carpentry and building envelope repairs

· Develop and Maintain Maintenance Plans

· Communicate with Contractors

· Negotiate optimal pricing

· Schedule contractors

· Follow and enforce Honeywell Safety protocols

· Know and Able to meet building Code requirements.

· Project coordination

· Developing system road maps

· Project oversight

· Assisting in Managing lifecycle design and deployments

· Customer interaction

· Budget/schedule responsibility

· Track meetings and provide required reporting.

· Respond to E-mails

· Provide solutions with creative thinking

· Willing to be on call and work after hours upon request

· Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Previous technical/installation experience in building automation

· Previous technical/installation experience in building Fire and Security

· Strong knowledge, Building operations and codes

· Bilingual (French & English)

· Previous customer service experience

· Good written and oral communication

· Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes

· Good presentation skills

· Previous exposure to a site base, construction environment

· Project management experience.

· Trade experience (Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Painting, ETC…)

Working Conditions:

This role requires work onsite at an Office in Ottawa, Ontario. This position generally works Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm Eastern time.
