Senior Dosimetrist Role in Cancer Care

Assume a vital role as a Senior Dosimetrist to optimize treatment planning and ensure high-quality care for cancer patients. Lead the Dosimetry team in a dynamic radiation therapy department. As the Chief Medical Dosimetrist, your leadership will guide daily activities, promoting safety and quality standards in treatment planning. Collaborate with multiple departments to address related dosimetry issues and maintain consistency across sites. Your expertise in medical physics and oncology will have a significant impact on patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the Dosimetry team
  • Ensure high standards of quality and safety in treatment plans
  • Liaise with other departments on dosimetry concerns
  • Collaborate with radiation oncology teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Mentor and train staff to enhance their skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Radiation Therapy
  • At least three years of relevant experience
  • Certification in Medical Dosimetry or equivalent
  • Leadership Certificate required within two years
  • Memberships with CMRIPS and CAMRT
