Electrical Engineer for City Infrastructure

Drive the safety and efficiency of City-owned buildings as a Building Electrical Engineer. Your expertise will support vital community facilities through design reviews, maintenance advice, and collaboration.

As a Building Electrical Engineer, you will enhance infrastructure integrity across fire halls, recreation centers, and office buildings. Your role includes thorough design reviews and engineering advice to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems, including power distribution and fire alarms. You will also aid in developing design guidelines and practices tailored for energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities: • Conduct design reviews on electrical systems for City buildings • Develop engineering guidelines incorporating best practices • Provide maintenance advice for existing infrastructure • Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants • Assist in facility condition assessments and lifecycle planning

Requirements: • Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4 years experience • Valid Driver's License and use of personal vehicle • Experience with building electrical infrastructure design • LEED accreditation is an asset • Strong organizational and communication skills
