Hours: 48 to 60 hours per week

Eagle Plains Hotel is seeking a dependable and organized Cook to join our team in a remote and unique Yukon setting. This is a seasonal full-time position based on site at our hotel, restaurant, and bar operation on the Dempster Highway. Willing to relocate to a remote location
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, can maintain quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team. Staff accommodation and room and board are provided.
What you will do
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
- Prepare dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Support efficient daily kitchen operations and maintain food safety standards
Requirements
- English language ability
- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience
- Safe Food Handling certificate preferred
- Able to work on site in a rural and remote location
- Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
