Position:  Full Time Video Surveillance Analyst

Site: Seneca Polytechnic - Newnham

City: North York, ON

Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Employment Standards Act (ESA)

Hours: Monday to Friday (0700 - 1500) | Monday to Friday (1500 - 2300)

Pay Rate: $21.42 - $22.95 / an hour (based on leveling system)

Job Description:

Video Surveillance Analysts to support campus safety at Seneca Polytechnic through expert monitoring and analysis of video surveillance systems. Working from the Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will monitor campus CCTV feeds, assist in incident investigations, and provide real-time situational awareness to both the security team and administration.

  • Monitor cameras and provide active, real-time views of incidents across campus 
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment through the use of the Video Surveillance System and Access Control Systems 
  • Assist with answering the phone, providing information, and recording all calls for service 
  • Assist the Dispatcher with coordinating security services personnel for calls for service 
  • Respond to emails and communications professionally and promptly 
  • Provide access control support as required 
  • Conduct thorough video review of incidents and submit findings and reports to Security Services Administrators 
  • Complete all weekly and monthly audit requirements 
  • Send appropriate email notifications and SenecaSAFE Mass Notification System alerts as required 
  • Serve the Seneca Polytechnic community through excellent customer service skills 
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive issues at all times

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification 
  • Proficiency with CCTV monitoring platforms and access control systems 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during extended monitoring periods 
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills 
  • Willingness to consent to a police and criminal background check 
  • Ability to work in a stationary, technology-intensive environment for extended periods 
  • Experience in a security, dispatch, or surveillance role is considered an asset 
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must not be a current Seneca student at Newnham
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
    • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
    • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB Certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
