CPA - Senior Chartered Professional Accountant

Main Responsibilities

• Perform or supervise/review compilation and review engagements
• Set up new audit engagements; Supervise and review
• Plan, execute, and review tax engagements (corporations, individuals, trusts, sales tax)
• Act as a resource person for clients to address their accounting, tax, or management needs
• Mentor and support junior team members in the execution of their engagements
• Participate in the development of internal procedures and the continuous improvement of the firm and the quality management system
• Collaborate closely with partners on complex files or special engagements (restructuring, mergers/acquisitions, estate planning, etc.)
• Maintain excellent client relationships based on trust, expertise, and continuity

  Profile Desired

• Designation: CPA(required)
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm
• Excellent command of accounting standards for private companies (ASPE) and accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations
• Comfortable working with various industries (Holding companies; Service and retail businesses; Non-profit organizations; Daycares; Manufacturing and processing)
• In-depth knowledge of personal and corporate taxation
• Proficient in accounting software (Caseware, Taxprep/CCH I Firm, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent ability to manage priorities and work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative spirit and professional interpersonal skills
• Client-focused and committed to quality service
• Good level of spoken and written French
