Role Overview

Configuration and customization of Salesforce Experience Cloud to support the redesigned 311 website and mobile experience. This includes development and refinement of digital frontend components such as homepage layout, navigation, search functionality, service request intake flows, forms, and confirmation experiences. The resource will also support enablement of guest and authenticated user functionality, integration with the existing Service Cloud backend, and technical activities including setup, testing, deployment, and post-launch stabilization.

The resource will work closely with internal City teams and existing vendors, contributing across architecture, solution design, configuration, development, and technical delivery activities, while ensuring alignment with City technology governance, security, and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10+ years of hands‑on experience working in large project and/or program environments within government jurisdictions and/or large private sector organizations.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience using Salesforce technologies, including Visualforce, configurations, Apex classes, Apex web services, APIs, AppExchange deployments, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows, with the ability to design and build LWC components.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy Salesforce Experience Cloud components supporting the redesigned 311 interface.
  • Develop frontend components, navigation, search functionality, forms, and service request journeys.
  • Design and build Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce customizations.
  • Integrate Salesforce Experience Cloud with Service Cloud backend processes.
  • Configure user authentication, security, and access models.
  • Collaborate with City teams and vendors on architecture, solution design, development, and technical delivery.
  • Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and development artifacts.
  • Support unit, integration, and system testing activities, including issue resolution.
  • Prepare deployment packages and support go‑live activities.
  • Provide post‑launch support, stabilization, and knowledge transfer to City teams.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with City governance standards, accessibility requirements (AODA/WCAG), and security/privacy policies.
