Key Information:
- Hours: 10 hour days on a 5/2 schedule. Overtime as required.
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
- Health benefits, pension plan, RRSP matching, vacation pay offered.
Job Description:
- Safely transporting equipment and materials to sites with a truck and gooseneck.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
- Loading, offloading, and securely strapping down equipment.
- Performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers.
- Compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicating with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers.
Experience and Certifications:
- Hotshot trucking experience preferred.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
- Frequently requires driving in all weather conditions.
- Experience with gooseneck trailers is required.
- Must be reliable and professional.
- Ability to secure heavy cargo and work in varying weather conditions.
- The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, be safety-conscious, and be committed to timely deliveries.
- A clean driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills is required.
Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
