As a Tax Compliance Specialist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare Canadian and US tax returns
- Collect and organize additional supporting documentation or responses to tax authority notices and decisions
- Identify outstanding information on files and reach out to clients and practice staff as required
- Work with client engagement team as necessary to complete work assignments
- File Canadian and U.S. Tax returns
Qualifications
What you will bring to this role:
- Enrolled in relevant undergraduate degree in business, accounting or related field
- Experience with accounting or financial services; prior tax preparation experience of Canadian and US tax and/or bookkeeping or other related accounting functions would be an asset
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
- A strong grasp of technology including Microsoft Office and an aptitude for excel, complex calculation
- Ability to work effectively under pressure without compromising professional standards or quality of works and data analysis
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate and manage expectations with clients
- Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
- Vialto Value Network (VVN) services all Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary and overtime is required
Additional Information
- Please note this is a 3-6 month full-time contract opportunity, starting from Jan 2027 (with the possibility of extension).
- Tax Compliance team members work on a hybrid schedule, in office 2-3 days per week - (mandatory training in the office)
- Hourly rate range for this position is CAD $22.50-$25.50

Description Du Poste
En tant que Spécialiste de la Conformité Fiscale, vos responsabilités incluront, mais ne se limiteront pas à :
- Préparer les déclarations fiscales canadiennes et américaines.
- Collecter et organiser la documentation supplémentaire ou les réponses aux avis et décisions des autorités fiscales.
- Identifier les informations manquantes dans les dossiers et contacter les clients et le personnel de pratique selon les besoins.
- Collaborer avec l’équipe de gestion des clients si nécessaire pour compléter les missions.
- Soumettre les déclarations fiscales canadiennes et américaines.

Ce Que Vous Apporterez à Ce Rôle
- Un intérêt pour l'amélioration des compétences dans un monde numérique et les tendances technologiques, une ouverture à l'apprentissage de nouveaux outils et à l'adaptation de votre façon de travailler.
- Un engagement démontré à valoriser les différences et à travailler avec des personnes et des perspectives diverses.
- Expérience dans les services comptables ou financiers ; une expérience antérieure en préparation de déclarations fiscales canadiennes et américaines et/ou en tenue de livres ou dans d’autres fonctions comptables connexes serait un atout.
- Une bonne maîtrise des technologies, y compris Microsoft Office et Google Suite, ainsi qu’une aptitude pour Excel et les calculs complexes.
- Capacité à travailler efficacement sous pression sans compromettre les normes professionnelles ou la qualité du travail et de l'analyse des données.
- Compétences efficaces en communication écrite et verbale, capacité à communiquer et à gérer les attentes des clients.
- Motivation personnelle démontrée et désir de prendre en charge sa propre croissance et son développement.
- Les services de Vialto Value Network (VVN) couvrent tous les fuseaux horaires canadiens, donc les heures de travail varieront et des heures supplémentaires seront requises.
Informations supplémentaires
- Ce contrat débutera en Janvier 2026, et est prévu de durer de 3 à 6 mois (Avec possibilité de prolongation).
- Le mode de travail est hybride, et requiert la présence dans les locaux si nécessaire.
- Le taux horaire pour ce poste se situe entre 22,50 $ CA et 25,50 $ CA
