Schedule: Monday to Friday Approx. from 8am to 5pm (some flexibility by mutual agreement) Start Date: October 13, 2026 Compensation: $23 to $25 per hour (Competitive compensation based on experience) Environment: Pet (Friendly Maine Coon Cat), Non-smoking home. Role Overview: We are looking for a reliable full-time placement nanny/family assistant to become an important part of the life for a warm, professional family in Aurora with one child. Both parents have professional careers, and are looking for someone who is nurturing, organized, dependable, and proactive. Their hope is to build a long-term relationship with someone who will help provide their child with a safe, loving, engaging environment while also helping their household run smoothly. Parents schedules may vary from time to time, particularly due to one parent’s schedule. They value open communication, flexibility and mutual respect, and are committed to creating a positive long-term working relationship for the right person. Key Responsibilities: Childcare & Engagement: Primary responsibility will always be the child’s care, development, safety and happiness. Provide loving, attentive, developmentally appropriate care. Plan engaging indoor and outdoor activities. Read, sing, play, and encourage learning through everyday experiences. Prepare healthy meals and snacks for their child. Support feeding, naps, hygiene, and daily routines. Take their child on walks, to parks, library programs, swimming lessons, classes, and other age-appropriate activities. Keep parents informed about milestones, routines, and daily activities. Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. Household Support: When napping, spending time with a parent, or later attending preschool or other activities, nanny to assist the family to help keep their household organized and running efficiently. When childcare responsibilities permit, duties include: Family laundry (washing, folding, and putting away). Meal preparation for the family Preparing the child’s meals and snacks Washing bottles, dishes, and kitchen clean-up after meals. Loading and unloading the dishwasher. Keeping the kitchen, nursery, and play areas organized. Rotating toys and organizing children’s clothing Monitoring household and baby supplies and advising when items need replenishing. Grocery shopping and occasional household errands. Light daily tidying related to the family’s routines. Requirements: Experience: 2–4 years of significant professional experience caring for infants and toddlers. Education: Minimum Secondary School graduation. Credentials: Valid Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certifications Security: A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is mandatory. Transportation: Valid Ontario G driver’s license and clean driving record. Confidence driving children when required.
