eCommerce Revenue Accountant

THE POSITION
Noel Asmar Group is looking for a talented eCommerce Revenue Accountant who is self directed, highly motivated and energetic with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. The responsibilities of this role include eCommerce accounting, AR collections, and credit monitoring. The eCommerce Revenue Accountant reports to the CFO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the area of accounts receivable, you will:
- Monitor outstanding invoices and manage cash collections.
- Ensure our customers receive their invoices and identify invoice related issues in a timely manner.
- Make collection calls when required.
- Investigate non-payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Monitor daily sales and orders for accuracy.
- Understand digital Sales chanel revenue against ad spends
- Pick up and deposit cheques.
- Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor cash receipts and assist in financial planning by forecasting weekly cash receipts.
- Ensure financial security through adherence to internal accounting controls.
- Maintain accuracy of billing and collection information for customer accounts, collects information for credit approvals.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
In the area of credit and insurance, you will:
- Monitor insured customer limits and update values based on sales value.
- Prepare documents to support the annual credit renewal process and reporting.
In the area of eCommerce accounting and account analysis, you will:
- Download and post transactions fees for online sales and payment platforms.
- Analyze online sales and marketing metrics.
- Post monthly account transactions to accounting ledgers.
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Support external/internal audit requirements.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reports as needed by the Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have:
- 5 years of working experience in accounts receivable and accounting.
- A bachelor degree in Accounting.
- Experience with eCommerce channels and payment platforms including Shopify and Amazon.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service oriented along with solid negotiation skills to resolve payment issues.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong abilities to analyze data and use intuition and experience to complement data.
- Outstanding work ethic with strong commitment to quality and delivering on time
- A resilient, flexible, solution-oriented approach to addressing areas of improvement, including digging into issues
- Proficiency in English
- Experience with US sales tax and Avalara preferred.
