Director of New Media Gallery Services

Lead New Media Gallery operations for the City of New Westminster, enhancing programming and community engagement through innovative exhibitions. Seeking a passionate Director-Curator for a dynamic role in the arts sector. This role involves strategic oversight of the New Media Gallery, reporting to the Manager of Arts Services. You'll manage exhibitions, public programming, and community involvement, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive arts hub. Your expertise will foster collaboration amongst artists, arts organizations, and community groups, helping to fulfill the Gallery's mission. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in gallery operations and programming
• Curate and deliver engaging exhibitions and projects
• Foster relations with artists and community organizations
• Oversee gallery marketing and audience engagement
• Support grant funding and strategic alignment with City goals

Requirements:

• Degree in a related field with curatorial experience
• Knowledge of Digital/New Media and contemporary arts
• Proven track record in innovative programming
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
