Harbinger Network is proud to partner with a growing insurance organization seeking an experienced Insurance Broker – Commercial Lines to support and manage a portfolio of commercial accounts. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong client and insurer relationships.

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Insurance Manager, the Insurance Broker will support the renewal and servicing process for commercial insurance accounts while working closely with Producers and Account Executives. This role involves policy renewals, client communication, insurer negotiations, policy analysis, and ongoing account management to ensure exceptional client service and efficient policy administration.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Renewals

• Support policy renewals in collaboration with Producers and Account Executives

• Prepare renewal packages, proposals, binders, submissions, summaries, and premium adjustments

• Gather renewal information and communicate renewal terms and premiums to clients

• Analyze policy documents, coverages, and wording

Client & Insurer Communication

• Provide prompt, professional, and courteous client service

• Respond to client inquiries and communicate with insurers regarding requests and follow-ups

• Request endorsements, loss runs, and loss experience letters

• Negotiate with insurers and coordinate finance plans where required

Marketing & Administration

• Prepare account submissions and market accounts to insurers

• Manage abeyances, expiry dates, and underwriting follow-ups

• Process invoicing for renewal premiums

• Input and maintain accurate client information within Epic and PolicyWorks systems

• Complete premium comparisons and support cross-selling opportunities

Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve service and renewal objectives

• Provide Account Assistants with clear direction and support as required

• Contribute to a team-oriented and high-performance environment

Qualifications

• College diploma, university degree, or equivalent industry experience

• RIBO Licensed

• CIP or CAIB designation completed or in progress is considered an asset

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial insurance experience

• Construction industry insurance experience considered an asset

• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Experience with Epic or similar brokerage management systems

• Experience with PolicyWorks considered an asset

• Strong communication, organization, analytical, and time management skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
