Youth Worker Trillium Residential Services Location Various Locations Garson, ON Salary 21.00 to 26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 24 to 88 hours bi-weekly Part time leading to full time Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Financial benefits, other benefits Languages English Education College/CEGEP or equivalent experience Experience: Experience an asset Work must be completed at the physical Location. Work site environment Child welfare Programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder Work setting Group home Rural area Responsibilities: Prepare reports or case histories Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services Implement life skills workshops Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs Housekeeping activities Food preparation Provide suicide and crisis intervention Resolve conflict situations Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety Implement behaviour management programs Conduct individual and group counselling sessions Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs Assist clients/guests with special needs Accompany clients to appointments and social outings Supervision 5-10 people Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Emergency child care first aid and CPR Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate First Aid Certificate CPR Certificate Experience and specialization Target audience Adolescents Children Culturally diverse groups Females Males Persons with an intellectual disability Persons with learning disabilities Persons with mental health disabilities Young offenders Additional information Security and safety Criminal record check Medical exam Transportation/travel information Own vehicle Willing to travel Willing to travel regularly Valid driver's licence Travel expenses paid by employer Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Physically demanding Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Judgement Client focus Excellent written communication Flexibility Initiative Team player Benefits Financial benefits Mileage paid Other benefits Free parking available Until: 2026-08-13
