Nanny Wanted - Homeschool Teacher / Educational Support Person - 1:1 Child Support $25/Hr Aurora

Part-Time | $25/hour | 4 Days/Week | Aurora, Ontario Tuesday–Friday | 10:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Anticipated Start Date: September 14th 2026 We are looking for a warm, capable, energetic and dependable Homeschool Teacher / Educational Support Person to work one-on-one with a wonderful 10 year old child with Autism. He is verbal, bright, intelligent and engaging, and is great to work with. He has some additional learning and support needs and does best with someone who can provide a positive balance of structure, encouragement, academics, activity and fun. The Role:

• Provide one-on-one teaching based on the Ontario curriculum, with curriculum and learning materials provided/guided by the parents
• Support reading, writing, math and other age-appropriate learning
• Make learning engaging and adapt activities to his individual learning style
• Work from home and, at times, the local library
• Get outside for walks, playgrounds, play gyms and other recreational/community activities
• Drive to local activities and outings as needed
• Encourage independence, physical activity and social/life skills
• Prepare or help with simple meals and snacks when needed
• Maintain a safe, positive and structured environment

What We're Looking For: The right person is patient, trustworthy, responsible, upbeat and genuinely enjoys working with children. Experience in teaching, tutoring, educational assistance, childcare, special education, developmental support or working with children with ASD is a strong asset. A teaching certificate is not required for the right person with relevant experience and the ability to confidently teach using the curriculum and materials provided. Requirements:

• Experience working with children
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Clean driving record
• Current Vulnerable Sector / Police Record Check
• Comfortable driving a child to local activities
• Dependable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Comfortable being active and preparing simple meals/snacks when needed
• References required
