There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables Set up and adjust production machineries/tools Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Machinist Trade Certification Experience and specialization Measuring tools Micrometers Callipers Calibre Gauges Equipment and machinery experience Automatic lathes Boring machines Drill presses Electrical discharge machine (EDM) Form cutting machines Gear cutting machine Jig borer Milling machines Surface grinders Tool grinders Universal grinders Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines Computer-aided design (CAD) Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Ability to work independently Fast-paced environment Attention to detail Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Initiative Team player Benefits Health benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Financial benefits As per collective agreement Life insurance Other benefits Free parking available Learning/training paid by employer Team building opportunities Until: 2026-08-24
