Product Optimization Specialist

What the Role Does:

Turn high-impact product ideas into experiences that drive conversions, retention, and revenue.

As a Product Optimization Specialist, you will lead the planning, validation, coordination, and delivery of projects that improve the experience for both prospective and existing LawDepot customers. You will move promising ideas from discovery through launch, while contributing to an experimentation-focused product environment where decisions are informed by customer insights and data.

Working closely with Product Management, Design, Research, Analytics, Content, Legal, and Development teams, you will manage projects that strengthen trust, improve product and value messaging, enhance onboarding, reduce cancellations, and encourage customers to return. This role combines cross-functional project delivery with hands-on website improvements and experimentation.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work hybrid from our Edmonton, Alberta office.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead multiple projects that improve the customer experience for new and existing LawDepot users, from initial discovery and planning through coordination and launch

• Translate business opportunities and customer insights into clear project plans, requirements, timelines, and deliverables

• Organize cross-functional projects involving Product, Design, Research, Analytics, Content, Legal, and Development teams

• Support conversion and retention initiatives across the customer journey, including acquisition, onboarding, activation, cancellation prevention, and win-back experiences

• Coordinate developer handoffs, dependencies, reviews, approvals, sprint activities, and launch readiness

• Build and update website layouts, templates, and content experiences through our content management systems (CMS)

• Apply conversion rate optimization and experimentation principles to support A/B tests and iterative product improvements

• Work with analytics platforms and Analysts to monitor performance, interpret experiment results, and translate findings into actionable next steps

• Maintain project backlogs, ensuring initiatives are clearly scoped, documented, and ready for execution

• Prepare clear project updates, specifications, documentation, and post-launch learnings for stakeholders

• Identify edge cases, dependencies, and potential downstream impacts to support high-quality project delivery

• Use AI tools to accelerate project planning, competitor and market research, prioritization, and ideation

• Create early wireframes, mockups, or prototypes to help communicate product concepts and accelerate alignment

• Review and identify usability, content, formatting, or functional issues before release

• Contribute to a rapid experimentation culture by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting the development of new hypotheses and test ideas

What You Bring:

The Essentials

• Post-secondary education in Digital Media, Marketing, Web Development, Business, Project Management, Communications, or a related field

• Experience in digital project coordination, conversion optimization, product operations, web production, or website management

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear requirements, specifications, project updates, and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences

• Demonstrated ability to independently plan, organize, coordinate, and execute multiple projects from discovery through launch

• Strong project management and prioritization skills, including experience managing timelines, dependencies, reviews, approvals, and cross-functional stakeholders

• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to consider both immediate requirements and broader customer or business impacts

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams such as Product, Design, Research, Analytics, Content, Legal, and Development

• Experience using analytics and business intelligence platforms (ex. Google Analytics, Power BI) to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement

• Understanding of conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, web experimentation, and data-informed decision-making

• Technical aptitude and comfort working with development teams, sprint-based workflows, QA testing, developer handoffs, and basic website troubleshooting

• Strong learning agility, curiosity, and initiative, with the ability to quickly adopt new tools, processes, and methodologies

• A self-directed approach to work with a demonstrated ability to move projects forward while balancing quality, speed, and stakeholder needs

• Ability to utilize AI tools to improve productivity, research, planning, and decision-making

The Nice to Haves (Great if you have it and we’ll help you learn if you don’t)

• Ability to use CMS platforms to implement website changes

• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the ability to make minor layout or styling adjustments

• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and the ability to review designs and provide thoughtful feedback

• Experience using Figma or similar design and prototyping tools

• Experience in a rapid experimentation or continuous optimization environment
