As we continue to expand our Toronto operations, we are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Production Supervisor to lead our Screen Printing and Transfer Departments.

Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Fabric Screen Printer & Transfer Department Supervisor to oversee our fast-paced daily production. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of 8 production staff, managing both the textile screen printing line and our specialized heat transfer department (focusing on adhesive applications for bags).

The ideal candidate is a natural leader who bridges the gap between client expectations and final production. You will collaborate closely with Front-End Account Managers to review order specifications, optimize workflows, and guarantee that every order leaves our facility "First Quality"—on time, every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, mentor, and schedule a production team of 8 staff members across the screen printing and transfer departments. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and respect.
• Production Scheduling & Delivery: Oversee the daily production pipeline to ensure all orders meet strict delivery deadlines without sacrificing craftsmanship.
• Quality Assurance (First Quality): Implement and maintain rigorous quality control checkpoints. Ensure colors, alignment, and adhesive transfers strictly match approved proofs before shipping.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with front-end Account Managers to assess incoming orders, address potential production challenges early, and provide accurate timelines.
• Transfer Department Technical Oversight: Supervise the specialized transfer department, applying deep knowledge of adhesives, heat presses, and material compatibility (specifically as it relates to bags and various fabrics).
• Process Optimization: Continuously monitor equipment performance (screen printing presses, flash dryers, conveyor dryers, heat presses) and recommend process improvements to minimize waste and maximize throughput.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience  and 10 years  as a screen printer  (preferred).
• Technical Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of fabric screen printing techniques, ink mixing/matching, and heat transfer technology (including adhesives on synthetic/natural bag fabrics).
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and motivating a diverse team of 8+ production workers in a deadline-driven environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with front-end account management teams and report to upper management.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on the fly, resolve print defects quickly, and pivot schedules when high-priority orders arrive.
• Location: Must currently reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with a reliable means of commuting to our Toronto facility.
