Plant Operator - Quality Control

Premier Tech is seeking to expand its team by adding a Plant Operator – Quality Control at its Carrot River facility. As a plant operator, you will be part of a team that ensures the proper raw materials, ingredients, and packaging processes are used while working safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. You will support daily plant operations and help ensure products meet required specifications.

This position offers variety, training and physical activity. You will also have the opportunity to operate both mobile and production equipment while growing your career with a company that is over 100 years old.

Your future role

• Ensure the health and safety practices and processes are upheld, and the premises, team members and operations are safe
• Perform physical and manual tasks, including occasional work at heights
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe facility
• Operate equipment, including forklifts and loaders, as required
• Monitor the manufacturing process and make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards
• Inspect products and report any quality concerns or production issues to management
• Complete required quality-control checks and documentation
• Communicate and collaborate with management and fellow team members to support efficient operations
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations

Required skills

• You work well in a production environment and within a team setting, with effective interpersonal and communication skills
• You are looking for a physical role and are comfortable operating material-handling equipment
• You are available to work a variety of shifts, including occasional weekend work
• You are a team player who places a high value on safety
• You are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• You can work independently, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• You have strong attention to detail and are committed to following quality standards and procedures
