AECOM is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Airport Project to join our team.

This position is based on site, out of Mississauga.

We are seeking professionals to build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger‑friendly airports in the world. This position is newly created.

Major Responsibilities

  • Application of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge methodology, processes and tools in conjunction with ITM Project Management standards and procedures.
  • Elicit and document business requirements via the appropriate methods for each engagement, including but not limited to interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits/observations, business process analysis, use case scenarios.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external clients/customers to analyze, document and validate their information needs and functional requirements and deliver artifacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Process Maps, Functional Requirements Document, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases, UI Wireframes, Functional Specification Document, Business Cases.
  • Serve as the requirements conduit between the stakeholder community and the delivery/technical team.
  • Manage requirements throughout the project’s lifecycle to ensure adherence to established scope.
  • Utilize experience in enterprise‑wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies to the benefit of the company.
  • Engage in multiple, simultaneous initiatives at different project lifecycle stages.
  • Drive and challenge business units’ assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Possess strong analytical and requirements management skills, interpreting client/customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, computer science or 3‑year college diploma (related field). CBAP certification and IIBA membership preferred.
  • 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of continuous business analysis work experience in Enterprise Analysis, Requirement Management and Planning, Requirement Elicitation & Communication, Requirement Analysis and Documentation, and Solution Assessment and Validation.
  • At least 3 large‑size projects valued over $2 million and lasting at least 18 months.
  • Fully satisfactory work performance in current position and a work record void of discipline or unacceptable attendance that would affect duties.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of BABOK v2, familiarity with v3 is an asset.
  • Superior analytical skills, system thinking, creative thinking, decision making, learning, and problem solving.
  • Efficient production of high‑quality business analysis documentation, templates and macros.
  • Understanding of fundamental business principles and best practices.
  • Outstanding multidirectional and cross‑functional communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership, facilitation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and business process modeling software.
  • Commitment to attention to detail, organization, ethical and trustworthy conduct.

Work on‑site/out of the office 5 days a week.
